Well, for starters I would try to see what '2' as 'x' would do before moving on so...: f(x) = 2x^2 + 5√(x - 2) Now to place 2 in: f(x) = 2(2)^2 + 5√(2 - 2) f(x) = 4^2 + 5√0 f(x) = 16 + 0 f(x) = 16 I'm trying to figure out your problem here.
