Likely involves Synthetic division, but im confused by the variable K

k is just 'some number' .. when you get to your remainder, what value of k makes it go to zero?

and no need for synthetic really ... what ever zeros the bottom, will zero the top if they are factors

heheh. but yeah, just keep in mind that in order to be a factor, then when it goes to zero ... anything times 0 = 0

so to make it a factor of the other one ... just see what zeros it out
