OpenStudy (ac3):

We have a block traveling at 13.86m/s at point C. It begins going through an area of length 12m with coefficient of kinetic friction of .7 What is the speed of the block as it reaches point D

OpenStudy (ac3):

OpenStudy (ac3):

H2 = 2.4m

OpenStudy (ac3):

@IrishBoy123 Think you could help me out?

OpenStudy (ac3):

I got 8.55m/s and it's wrong

OpenStudy (ac3):

\[U _{o}+K _{o}-f _{k}d=U+K\]

OpenStudy (ac3):

2nd U goes to zero since there is no gravitational potential energy as it gets further from the edge.

OpenStudy (ac3):

or no?

OpenStudy (ac3):

nvm I figured it out. Turns out that it doesn't go to zero however it cancels out with the Initial potential energy because they are exactly the same and they are both 2.4 above the horizontal
