OpenStudy (nudeoua):

The graph below shows a line segment XY: What is the slope of the line segment XY? −2 −1 over 2 1 over 2 2

OpenStudy (nudeoua):

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Any ideas?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Recall the definition of slope please :-)

OpenStudy (nudeoua):

i think its -2

Directrix (directrix):

If (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) are two points on the line, then the slope can be found by the attached formula.

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Slope = rise/run

Directrix (directrix):

(-1, 3) and (1, -1) are points are the segment You can run those through the formula.

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Directrix is right, you should be able to quickly run through the formula :-)
