The length of a rectangle is twice its width. The area of the rectangle is less than 50 square meters, what is the greatest width of the rectangle? A. 4w+2w<50 B.2+2w<50 C.2w<50 D.2w*w<50 PLEASE EXPLAIN TOO!

OpenStudy (dayakar):

let width =w what is the lengh?

OpenStudy (dayakar):

r u there

OpenStudy (ninjaslice):

That is my whole problem lol, in this kind of work, L is just represented by W. So it says L will equal 2x the width. so i am thinking it wold be C due to 2w<50because it is 2 times the width, and it is less than 50.

OpenStudy (dayakar):

area <50 l*b <50 2w*w<50

OpenStudy (ninjaslice):

Thank you so much! I thought that was going to be my second answer lol.

OpenStudy (dayakar):

is it clear

OpenStudy (ninjaslice):

Yep!
