OpenStudy (studytheworld):

Please help me! Will medal! Helpp You are asked to find all solutions to a triangle of type SSA. How many solutions are possible?

OpenStudy (studytheworld):

@TrojanPoem You know this one? Sorry I'm tagging you so much I'm just literally clueless for most of these : (

OpenStudy (studytheworld):

a. 0 b 1 c. 2 d. 0, 1, or 2 Those are my choices. I think it's either c or d, although I'm probably wrong.

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

No problem, you could tag me any time. |dw:1446757439309:dw| SSA triangle is when we know 2 sides and an angle which is not the one between them. Let's assume we know both a , b and the angle <b use the sine rule: a/SinA = b/sinb = c/SinC so we can notice that we know b/sinb and a so we can find sinA ( might be + or -) now we have A + B + C = 180 we can also find C so this will have 2 solutions.

OpenStudy (studytheworld):

I got it, thanks!

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

I meant + , - that if positive we will be either in 1st or 2nd quarter , negative 3rd or 4rth so in all cases you have 2 values for the angle.
