3 pounds = 3*16 ounces = 48 ounces 6$ -> 4 ?$ -> 48 Notice that you have to multiply by 12.

16 ounce=1 pound. 6 dollars=4 ounces so 16/4=4 . Multiply 6 by 4 because 6 dollars per 4 pounds so it's 24 multiply by 3 you get 72 dollars
