OpenStudy (sushi121212):

How are the energy needs of plant cells similar to those of animal cells? How are they different?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plants obtain energy through photosynthesis, they are producers because they are able to obtain synthesize their food. animals on the other hand are consumers and must obtain their energy by consuming organic matter such as plants. also don't forget that animals usually require more energy because most of them move around while plants don't.
