what the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The question is the first link

\(\Huge{\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}}\\\color{white}{.}\\\Huge\sf\color{blue}{~~~~Welcome~to~OpenStudy!~\ddot\smile}\\\color{white}{.}\\\\\Huge{\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}}\)

563blackghost (563blackghost):

hmmm this might take some time....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't need proof by the way, just a straight answer

563blackghost (563blackghost):

On openstudy we must help the studier and not give them the straight answer....

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Now to solve this problem we must subtract these two equation since BD bisects ABC which means both angels are congruent so.... \[(6x-10)-(2x+20)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why did you have to subtract?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

We subtract because in order to get the answer x we must also know the equation for the other angel so we subtract the equation (6x-10) which is the total angel by (2x+20) which is one half of the total and the simplified equation from the subtracting would give us the other equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so do I have to combine like terms now, or...?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Yup! Combine like terms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8x + 30 I think?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

the -30 is correct but the simplification 8x is incorrect its actually 6x since we do 6x-2x which is 4x..... Now we know of the other equation which is 4x-30 now we know that this equation and 2x+20 are equal to each other so....\[4x-30 = 2x+20\] we must simplify this and we should get x=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really don't know

563blackghost (563blackghost):

I'll show you... Now we have...\[4x-30+2x+20\] We first must add thrity to both sides to get 4x by itself so it would simplify down too\[4x=2x+50\] Now we must divide by two to get 50 by itself so that means that when we divide 2 with 4 it would simplify down to 2x...\[2x=50\] Now we divide by2 on both sides to get \[x =\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct! So x equal 25! xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol thanks

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Np! If you ever need help in the future and see me on just tag me in one of your questions :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just spent 35 minutes on one question....plus I have so much work to do lol

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Wow...sorry i took so long

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Omg....I need help with this other question....

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Show it to me!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im gonna put it in another question because it's not letting me put in the link on the reply box
