remember derivative will give u the slope of a function so its definition should be similar to the slope between two points.
OpenStudy (chris215):
1/2sqrt(x)is the derivative but idk what to do next
OpenStudy (freckles):
superdave said the definition of derivative has something to do with slope
do you remember how to find the slope of a line given two points?
OpenStudy (freckles):
Pretend we have a lint going through the points (3+h,sqrt(3+h)) and (3,sqrt(3))
what would the formula look like for slope after pluggin those points
OpenStudy (freckles):
line*

ty @freckles :)
OpenStudy (freckles):
not lint gosh :p
OpenStudy (chris215):
sqrt(3) - sqrt(3+h) / 3 - 3+h
OpenStudy (chris215):
so b?
OpenStudy (superdavesuper):
that is correct. good job, @chris215 :)
