Give three examples of Roman influence in the world. Include one governmental influence, one architectural influence and one scientific influence.
The romans used paved roads for transporting goods, Aqueduct systems for plumbing purposes and sewers to control waste, therefore preventing disease. These buildings have all had a significant influence on modern day infrastructure. We emulate all of this type of architecture and improve it. The whole design of these would have been modelled from Roman versions. Keep in mind that Roman construction was very advanced..around 230 BC they managed to create concrete, however this method of concrete making was lost many years after and was never recovered until the recent centuries. Rome of course also influenced the religion of the world through their conversion to Christianity from Paganism. They spread the word of the lord throughout their conquered provinces of the world. Eventually the whole of Europe in the middle ages were strong believers of the Catholic faith, thanks to the Romans. England for example is today considered a Christian society, and during their expeditions to America in 1492 (Christopher Columbus) and in 1788 (Captain Cook and Arthur Phillip) they were able to incite their own religious beliefs into these lands.
