13+w/7=-18 step by step ??

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

First we need to isolate the w, by doing the inverse operation of the operations on the left side.

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

We would need to subtract 13. to get rid of the first 13, and to keep the equation equal we subtract 13 from the other side.

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

-18 - 13= -31

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

Leaving us with W/7=-31

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

Now we multiply both sides, by 7.

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

-217 = W, now we put it in the equation to check.

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

13+-217/7=-18

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

-217/7= -31

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

-31 + 13= -18

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

Remember to medal! Have a nice day.
