Can someone please help me. Identify the mapping diagram that represents a relation and determine whether the relation is a function {(-2,-4),(-1,-4),(3,-4),(6,-4)}
@pooja195 do you think you can help me with this question. I really need help and don't know who else to ask, please.
what makes a function is weather there are any x values repeating . So if there are x values repeating, it is not a function. And if there aren't any x-values repeating, then it's a function. You also need to remember how to set up the table for the data by having the x variables on the left and y variables on the right.
okay im still somewhat confused, so the answer would be B? (the second picture) because none of the X variables are shown twice so it's a function?? @Eli_Moses
the second picture
yes
okay thank you both :)
can you help with 1 more that's just like it? @Eli_Moses and @jango_IN_DTOWN
ok
okay thank you @jango_IN_DTOWN . Identify the mapping diagram that represents a relation and determine whether the relation is a function {(-2,-5),(-1,-2),(-2,6),(5,7)}
I think the answer is A (the first picture) am I right???
there's a mistake in the question..
in the first diagram, the -2 of second set must be -3
then you are correct and the relation is not a function
sorry @jango_IN_DTOWN I ment to type {(-2,-5),(-1,-3),(-2,6),(5,7)} and oh so do that mean the answer is B then if it's not a function???
