a parabolic searchlight is hinged at its vertex. It is aimed into the night sky at angle of 45 to the horizontal. Its 1000-watt bulb is positioned at the focus (3,3). THe operator now tilts the searchlight so that the beam of light is horizontal. Assuming that the vertex is at the origin, find the cartesian equation of the parabolic curve, in the vertical plane, when the beam is horizontal.
