I need help: A gardener has 785 bricks to build a path in a garden. there will be 24 in each row of the path. How many complete rows can the gardener make using 785 bricks? A.32 B.17 C.33 D. 65

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

just divide the number of bricks by number of rows: 785/24=32.70 =32 note ( it looks strange that you have to round down: but if 33*24=792. he doesn't have such number of bricks.) so it would be 32

thanks
