how did George Washington leadership abilities contribute to the success of the American Revolution?

OpenStudy (bluecreep):

Washington was devoted to civic duty most of his adult life. He always led by example and treated his troops well. Washington always looked for more ways to help his troops. he was also President at the Constitutional Convention and had great positive input there. hope this helped you

Unlike the British, who's main goal was to just stamp out the 'problem'(a.k.a rebels), Washington led his troops by example and encouragement. He never verbally or physically abused his troops mainly because he needed to ensure that our troop's and people were united otherwise we would have already lost the war. As soon as they put their life on the line by rebelling, they had to see this act of independence through because if the rebels were to lose the war, than the remaining survivor's would be tried for treason. Hope what I said made sense. sorry if it didn't :)
