Can someone help me? ?

Do you think President Truman did the right thing for the Korean War? Please explain.

The answer can be debateable, I believe it was the right thing and at the same time I don't believe he did. I just strongly believe even more that it wasn't the right thing. South Korea was bound to go under Communism ( under the rule of the Soviet Union) by North Korea at some point and the US only wasted money on making the war last even longer. The US helped because Truman believed if South Korea fell under Communism then neighboring countries will fall too and that happened anyways. We really didn't have a proper reason to get involved. In that time the US just got into everything which was pretty pathetic for the country at the time. Although this did make some historic events back in the US due to the war. Famous artists such as Jimi Hendrix created some pretty rad music and it lead to a difference in that generation of people.

There's a lot to say about the war but I guess it wasn't really the right thing to do. We just wanted to do anything to go against the Soviet Union at the time.
