I WILL FAN In general, in which direction does wind blow? vertically horizontally only from east to west only from west to east

OpenStudy (adelyn_helps):

@kitties_rules please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say west to east, thats the way the jet stream goes

OpenStudy (adelyn_helps):

The Cause of Wind Wind is simply air that is moving more or less horizontally because of differences in air pressures. Pressure that’s higher in one place will push from an area of high pressure to an area of low pressure. Think about a garden hose. When you turn on the hose, the water pressure in the hose increases. As a result, the water moves out of the hose. It moves from an area of high pressure to one of low pressure. The same thing happens with air.
