I suggest posting this in the chemistry section of OpenStudy to perhaps receive more people who are specialized in this field. I'm not sure the complexity of the course that you are taking, but this might help you! http://web.physics.ucsb.edu/~phys123B/w2015/leggett-lecture.pdf If not, I would just try Googling the band structure of Graphene. There seems to be a lot of papers written about it as well.
