1.The nuclear membrane keeps your DNA inside the nucleus to protect it from surrounding substances in the cytoplasm. Additionally, the nuclear envelope can regulate what materials enter or exit the nucleus. Anything that needs to pass between the nucleoplasm and the cytoplasm can only do so through holes in the membrane called nuclear pores.
2.Mitochondria are known as the powerhouses of the cell. They are organelles that act like a digestive system which takes in nutrients, breaks them down, and creates energy rich molecules for the cell.
3.Cytoplasm is the fluid that fills a cell. Scientists used to call the fluid protoplasm. Early on, they didn't know about the many different types of fluids in the cell
