OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Are TUV and WXY congruent triangles? Is there a figure? Also, in the answers, are choices A - D congruent angles and E and F congruent segments?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

When triangles are congruent, the statement of congruent must be written with corresponding vertices in the same positions. If this statement of congruence is true, \(\triangle ABC \cong \triangle XYZ\) then these 6 statements of congruence must be true: \(\angle A \cong \angle X\) \(\angle B \cong \angle Y\) \(\angle C \cong \angle Z\) \(\overline{AB} \cong \overline{XY}\) \(\overline{AC} \cong \overline{XZ}\) \(\overline{BC} \cong \overline{YZ}\) Notice that in every statement of congruence, both for angles and segments, the letters are in the same positions in both triangles.
