which expression is equivalent to |a|<3? (WILL MEDAL & FAN) http://i.imgur.com/2EKesbv.jpg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (jokersmart):

Can you explain how? if you don't mind of course~

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|a| just means that a is between 3 and -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it has to be the word "and" otherwise, it will cover the whole number line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for instance if you have a<3 or a>-3, this means that a is either less than three OR greater than -3, which covers the whole number line

OpenStudy (jokersmart):

Thank you very much :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep
