Wikipedia is a controversial research source because it is open for anyone who wants to add information. If you look at the site, it says edit, almost everywhere. This causes people to post whatever they want whether the material is pertinent to the topic or not. I personally believe the information on Wikipedia is not entirely accurate. If you use Wikipedia as a resource, and someone tampered with that the particular subject and added misleading information before you utilized it, teachers and professors may question you about your knowledge on the topic or discussion. If you find information on Wikipedia, it's best to verify that its correct with another internet source.
