BIO EMERGENCY!!!! WILL MEDAL AND FAN!!!! @mathstudent55 @Mehek14 @Michele_Laino @Preetha @TheSmartOne @Vocaloid If a cell has 80 chromosomes in the G1 phase of Interphase, how many chromosomes will be in the cell at the end of mitosis? A. 20 B. 40 C. 80 D. 120

OpenStudy (cheesecakekitten):

There's more questions where that came from

alones (alones):

well i would say if 8 chrosomes turn in to 16 then 80 what shoukd it be turned in too ?? :)

alones (alones):

probably 120 ain't sure :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

80 Chromosomes are there before the DNA replicates in the S phase, and since daughter cells should have the same amount of chromosomes, each one would have 80, but if you're talking about how many total are there after mitosis, then I would say 160 which is not there.
