An auto transport truck holds 12 cars. A car dealer plans to bring in 1,150 new cars in June and July. If an auto transport truck is filled for each delivery, except for the last one, how many full truckloads are needed and how many cars will be in the last truck?

Alright so this is a simple division question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All you have to do is 1,150 divided by 12.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should get 95.8333 and so on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So that means you will have 95 full cars and about 8 cars in the last truck

Hope this helped! :D

OpenStudy (lochana):

does the dealer bring cars for 2 months at once?

OpenStudy (lochana):

if that's the case. first you can sum up cars in june and july. cars = 151 largest number that holds factor 12 and below 151 is 144. so last delivery will be of 7 cars.
