Points C and D lie on graph of the equation y = 1.3x. What are the y-coordinates for each point?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Please provide the x-values and then show your work.

OpenStudy (lochana):

we need x values of D and D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Point C: (3, ) Point D: (−6, )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats all i know

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Whoops. You forgot the "Show Your Work" part. Substitute the known values and calculate the corresponding y-values.

OpenStudy (lochana):

okay. that's more than enough for our problem:) you need to plug each x value in your equation

OpenStudy (lochana):

lets find C first

OpenStudy (lochana):

x of C is 3 so y of C is 1.3*3 which is 3.9

OpenStudy (lochana):

x of D is -6 so y of D is 1.3*6 which is 7.8

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Too bad. I guess the OP doesn't get to show us any personal work. It is a sad thing.
