In 1933, Myron Scott took pictures of a race. A group of boys were racing homemade cars down a hill. The cars were made of wooden boxes and old wheels. Scott loved the idea. He got 34 cities across the country to hold a race. The winner of each race then went to Ohio for the last race. The last race would decide who the best in the country was.
