Is this quotation acceptable (MLA)? [in description!]
Dr. Alexander Suh’s team are researching about how did the virus transfer from birds into mammals. As for now, their research shows that both classes share the same protein. But there is one protein that the mammal produces, but the bird does not. Dr. Suh wrote in his e-mail, "The complete role of the X protein of mammalian HBVs is not known, but it has been shown to promote tumors" (qtd. in GrrlScientist, Ancient origin of hepatitis B viruses revealed by DNA fossils in bird genomes). This is from the essay that I wrote last year (high school). I used an article by GrrlScientist and there’s an email transcript that looks quotable, so I decided to use it. I don’t know if it’s up to MLA standards though. So how do you use a quote inside an article? yea that's right but be sure you have it cited all the way because you would be on a safer side
