Only have one Problem Please Help, Maxine spent 15 hours doing her homework last week. This week she spent 18 hours doing homework. She says that she spent 120% more time doing homework this week. Is she correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jchick

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

She is.

OpenStudy (jchick):

Do you still have that site I shared with you?

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

1.2 X 15 = 18

OpenStudy (isaacsgames):

But why?

OpenStudy (hungergames13):

last week she worked for 15 hours this week she worked for 18 hours so how many more hours did she work this week ?

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

When using percents, simplify it down to a decimal.

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

Mixed Number Decimal.

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

Then multiply that by your first number.

OpenStudy (hungergames13):

that just means this week she workd 3 hours more,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

She is incorrect she didnt work 120% more

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

Or, you can find .2 of 15 (3) and add that to the original number.

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

I misread the question LOL. Sorry.

OpenStudy (jchick):

3/15×100=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So She only worked 20% ?? @jchick

OpenStudy (jchick):

so this will mean that she has worked 20% more this week

OpenStudy (hungergames13):

\[3/15 *100\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhh I Got it !!! @jchick

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

She did work 120% OF the original week.

OpenStudy (jchick):

No problem!

OpenStudy (jchick):

How @Ddos_Dragon explain?

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

Make sure and medal jchick, as well as close the question.

OpenStudy (hungergames13):

3/15*100=20

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

@jchick I previoously did, scroll up

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

*previously

OpenStudy (jchick):

Oh ok I see now

OpenStudy (hungergames13):

she worked 20%

OpenStudy (jchick):

@hungergames13 this answer has already been solved.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
