When you observe everything that is happening there isn't much room for error. You are seeing all the conditions that may have affected the outcome of an experiment. For a: If you tell the person what to expect they'll be looking for it. For b: What's important may differ from person to person For c: They are recording everything that's happening no matter how unimportant For d: by asking them what they expect they'll be more likely to look for that in specific.
