"Ok, *update*  I am not sure where McCormick is so we were slowed down a bit.  Where ever you are Eric, we wish you well, our thoughts and prayers are with you - and anything else you need as well.  OK, in his absence, newly minted mod, Compassionate has agreed to help run the Ambi program.  So we will be getting to work soon and start recruiting and signing up new Ambis.  If you have any questions about what we are looking for - ping Compassionate.

There are a group of 5 moderators who choose ambassadors. With @e.mccormick gone, @Compassionate will simply replace him. But there are still the other 4 moderators who will also have to agree on potential ambassadors before they get chosen.
