If a line with a slope of -2 crosses the y-axis at (0, 3), what is the equation of the line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so the format of this equation is y = mx + b.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So m is the slope and b is the y value.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All you have to do is plug in the numbers in the equation... when you do that you would get y = -2x + 3! Hope this helped!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So this is the answer y = -2x + 3
