You can make 5 gal of liquid fertilizer by mixing 8 tsp of powered fertilizer with water. Represent the relationship between the teaspoons of powder used and the gallons of fertilizer made using an equation. Is the amount of fertilizer made a function of the amount of powder used?

deez nutz

OpenStudy (danjs):

the values here are not changing, the amount you can make is always dependent on how many tsp you have.. ,linear relationship

real mature Linkito2

OpenStudy (danjs):

They give you one point that is on the line, (x,y) = (5 gal, 8 tsp)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks DanJS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please helpm me

OpenStudy (danjs):

actually switch those areound, the gallons depend on the # tsp, so gal should be vertical

OpenStudy (danjs):

given (x,y) = 8 tsp, 5 gal)

OpenStudy (danjs):

the other trivial point to use, is if you have 0 tsp, you get 0 gal, point (0,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks alot

OpenStudy (danjs):

you good? it is a direct proportion, line through the origin, the gallons made are directly proportional to the tsp used

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i was able to understand it, thanks for explaning
