what is the process of a carbon atom through the biological processes of photosynthesis and respiration?

Allright, so first, In photosynthesis the carbon dioxide(Co2) and water (Ho2) are combined to make glucose and oxygen. To summerize, it takes in carbon dioxide and gives out oxygen. 6CO2+6H2O→C6H12O6+6O2 But during respiration the opposite happens, glucose and oxygen are taken in and gives out carbon dioxide and water. To make it simple. Photosynthesis takes in Carbon Dioxide (Co2), Water (Ho2) and Sunlight and gives out Glucose and Oxygen. Respiration takes Glucose and Oxygen giving out Carbon Dioxide. Also, Photosynthesis happens only in plants that consist of Chlorophyll, while Respiration happens to all living things.

Hope this helps you :)
