2x+5+3x-3=5x+9 Is this one solution, no solution or, infinite solution?

OpenStudy (danjs):

notice both sides have 5x, they cancel if you subtract 5x from both sides left with 5-3 = 9 , that is false, no solution for this equation

Ok thank you sir

OpenStudy (danjs):

one solution will solve for x=a number

OpenStudy (danjs):

infinite solutions will look similar to the first case, except you will get a true statement, like 4 = 4 or something, infinite solutions

Ok Thanks makes sense now

OpenStudy (danjs):

welcome
