Will medal who ever answers Equation M: 3y = 3x + 6 Equation P: y = x + 2 Which of the following best describes the solution to the given set of equations? No solution One solution Two solutions Infinite solutions

OpenStudy (radar):

If you will note the two equations are identical, The first equation is simply the 2nd equation multiplied by three. They are known as identities. For example if x =1 then y will equal 3...... In both equations. That is one solution.........but there are an infinite number of other values of x.

OpenStudy (radar):

that will result in values of y.

OpenStudy (radar):

The equations both are of a single line with a slope of 1 and an intercept of 2.
