Identify the vertex, the focus, and the directrix.(when solving for focus can you use p as the variable)
(a) y=1/2(x-1)^2
(b) x=-1/4(y+1)^2+2

My answers:
(a) v=(1,0)
p=(1,1/8)
d= y=-1/8
(b) v=(-1,2)
p=(-17/16)
d= x=-15/16
