What is the biggest difference between an equation that has a direct variation and one that does not have a direct variation? Can someone please help me?

OpenStudy (danjs):

are you studying just lines for this?

OpenStudy (danjs):

if y varies directly as x, , another way to say it is they are directly proportional y = k*x line through the origin, slope k

OpenStudy (danjs):

if y varies directly with x, it will be a line if y does not vary directly, you have some other function , not line

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

ok! thank you very much!!!!

OpenStudy (danjs):

welcome
