I know this is biology but no one is one there. Please just see if you can help! Question Below VVVV

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In the Southern United States, a forest ecosystem serves as a habitat for a frog species that is dark green in color. A highway is built, fragmenting this habitat, and after many years the frogs on the west side of the highway appear to be a much lighter shade of green. Describe an experiment that would determine whether allopatric speciation has occurred. Be sure your answer includes the data that would be collected and shows how analyzing this data would help reach a conclusion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hello @jigglypuff314 Can you help in any way possible?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

o-o big words me not know ... here is wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allopatric_speciation ummm if you had enough money to do a DNA genome thing of the two types of frogs and look at the difference in coloration gene to determine if it really had been a mutation of some sort?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HAHAH you just made my day. Okay could you at least tag some of your friends that might help? @jigglypuff314 <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait! @jigglypuff314

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://www.nature.com/scitable/definition/hardy-weinberg-equation-299 here is the supposed equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I mostly need help with this question: In the Southern United States, a forest ecosystem serves as a habitat for a frog species that is dark green in color. I am SOOO STUCK.

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

sorry if its bio, i am mainly on the anatomy and blood etc side D:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I literally have these 2 questions left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AHH can you tag someone please?? @jagr2713

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have worked to hard to stop now :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nnesha can you maybe help? please?...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am begging you guys ..

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

this weinberg equation looks like math... do you see the p and q s? first equation, plug in p = 385 and q = 57 second equation, plug in p = 422 and q = 43 etc see the result of p^2 + 2pq + q^2 if result of that is changing, then yes there is evolution taking place

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMG I LOVE YOU... @jigglypuff314

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU 100 MEDALS.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
