whats 7√2x-2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Depends what x is. What is your exact question?

OpenStudy (itseasy2346):

what if x is 9 what would be the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is x under the root or it is 7*sqrt(2)*x - 2?

OpenStudy (itseasy2346):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[7*\sqrt2*x-2=7*\sqrt2*9-2=63\sqrt2-2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He gave you two options, you answered "yup". Which of these is it? \[7\sqrt{2}*x-2\]\[7\sqrt{2x}-2\]

OpenStudy (imtiaz7):

|dw:1447295654019:dw| is question is like this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@itseasy2346 which option exactly you meant by "yup"?

OpenStudy (itseasy2346):

the first one 7√2*x-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the expression I wrote you was the one you needed?

OpenStudy (itseasy2346):

ya but isnt the both equations the same?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no the second will be equal to another value: \[7*\sqrt{2*9}-2=7*\sqrt18-2\] since sqrt9 equals 3, we can write \[7*3\sqrt2-2=21\sqrt2-2\]

OpenStudy (itseasy2346):

uh never mind guys I got that answer and thx. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np :)
