You should start by picking a place to sit. A corner,on your bed, or by the door would be best. From that point you need to make a list of the things around you. They can be listed farthest to closest or closest to farthest. (if you are better at drawing than list making you could try that too.) A simple example of a closest to farthest list is: -Bed -Bookshelf -Chair -Desk -Door After you have a list, you should describe each item a little. Make sure you use the same order as you did in the list to describe the items. When you have a little bit of a description to go with each thing use some words that will give the reader a clue to how they are laid out. If I use my list as an example it might look something like this: My bed was a mess and the nearby bookshelf was overflowing. My old sagging chair was splayed away from from the cluttered desk in the corner near my open door. From that the reader should be able to tell that the room is messy and fairly unorganized. Obviously there might be more things in the room you end up using than there were in my example but, I hope that gives you something to start with. :)
