A ligand will cause a cell to respond if it connects with the right ________________. active site receptor enzyme phospholipid

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

Well, honestly to me, there is only one answer that truly stands out. Active site - is on the enzyme when a substrate binds receptor - anything can bind to this enzyme - a substrate can bind to this, and for the most part that is it phospholipid - this is a protein usually most of the time nothing binds to this. which one do you think works the best out of these answers?
