A pea plant expresses the recessive trait for flower color. How are its alleles abbreviated scientifically? Pp pp PP pP Brown eye color is dominant over blue eye color in the human population. A person who is heterozygous for eye color would have__________________________. one dominant allele and one recessive allele a genotype that could be written Bb brown eyes All of the above are correct.
I believe the first question's answer is pp, though I'm not positive D:
Pretty sure the answer is pp, I think capitals indicate dominance. Dominant genes are expressed if the person is homozygous dominant, or heterozygous. Since brown eyes are dominant, the person would have brown eyes. Since heterozygous genes have the genotype Bb, (one recessive/one dominant) therefore the answer is all of the above.
