@Anaise @melody1590
Well then you will be of great help! Right?
Sure! So what exactly do you need help with? Do you know what conventions and sentence fluency are?
I just need two sentences. One piece of texual evidence and one of sentence fluency.
No I don't exactly know what conventions and sentence fluency are.
Conventions are examples of proper grammar and punctuation, tenses of verbs, spelling etc. in sentences. For example, capitalizing the first word in a sentence and "I" are both conventions of English.
Can you give me an example of conventions from my essay? I am not going to use it.
"In science class, they use equipment like microscopes, computers, and calculators." is a good example of conventions because you are properly capitalizing and using punctuation :)
Can I see an example of sentence fluency?
hello?
???
Sentence fluency is the rhythm or flow of a sentence. A good way to find it is by reading the sentence aloud, and seeing how it sounds. You're checking its movement and cadence. It applies to your essay as a whole, because you need to make sure the sentences vary in structure, length, and how they start. It will make your essay sound smooth. Let me find an example in your essay, hold on.
Ok.
I am gonna go to the other place I wrote this question to go close it.
Alright :)
K. I'm back.
Are you a girl?
Your final paragraph is an example of sentence fluency, because your sentences vary in structure and length, and each sentence begins with a different word. The paragraph flows well!
Yes, I am a girl :)
Can you give me the best sentence from that paragraph so I can have a better understanding.
The thing about sentence fluency is it isn't really one sentence, it's how the sentence flow. If you need a specific sentence, I would say the last one. "The comparisons and contrasts of the many school subjects are many, and they help us learn about the world around us."
Hold on I see that but what I am going to do is use both that sentence and the one before it ok.
Alright, that will work!
I think that your essay is excellent. It shows great sentence fluency and word choice.
Agreed, it's great for your grade! :)
Lol, I'm in 12th grade :3
But @rowbe98 I agree with you.
