Well, my suggestions are:
Exploration of space is made using CAD softawre to enter in virtual world, which can give us access to infinite space.
Prediction can be made about its items as well.
The other way to explore it is by use of manual instruments like telescopes to monitor and further analysis phenomena in outer space.

Long distance travel is limited due to transportation costs, stock of supplies that will be needed by humans , like food and a more important one, energy source of the spacecraft itself, that may be insufficient to travel the required distance.
