OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

A train is traveling at a constant speed. The table shows the distance the train travels at different times during the trip. How fast is the train traveling? ? mph Train’s Speed Hours 3 5 7 9 Miles 495 825 1155 1485

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

I think330 miles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

165 miles per hour

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because 495 divided by 3 is 165, which gives you the base

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

So, i couldn't have done 1485-1155 to get 330. Because when i got 330 i added that to 495 which gave me 825 (on the chart).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well on the chart, its divided by 2 hour intervals, so 330 divided by 2 = 165

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because you are looking for how many miles per hour

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

-3- hmmm kay.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see because in 4 hours, the train would have traveled 660 miles
