Step 1.) We make equations. Plan A: C=30 + .01x  Plan B: C=20 + .05x

Step 2.) We find the difference. Plan A you would have to send 500 messages. So 30 + 5 is 35 dollars. With Plan B If you sent 500 it would cost you 45 dollars since its 20 + 25.

Long story short you would only have to send 500 messages for Plan A to be cheaper than Plan B.
