@Vocaloid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really dont get this, yes I know the rise over run stuff, but this is confusing...

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

first find the difference in the y-coordinates

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

61-33 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

28

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

good, now find the difference in the x-coordinates 8-4 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

good. the difference in the y-coordinates is the "rise" part the difference in the x-coordinates is the "run" part so rise/run = 28/4 = 7 = your slope

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

do you know how to find the y-intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not exactly

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

look where the line touches the y-axis

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

|dw:1447364775697:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it touches a 5

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

good so our equation is y = 7x + 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks that helped a lot :) other people made it to confusing I get it now :)
