I need help understanding this. If someone can explain this to me I think i can take it form there. I have to write an essay about it, research, and write my opinion on it. I will both medal and fan. Here is the problem:Embryonic stem cell research is front page news these days. What is it? It is a proposal to use human embryos to grow stem cells or master cells that form immediately after a human egg is fertilized. The cells are called master or stem, because they can develop into all parts of the body, brain, blood, skin and muscle. The topic is controversial worldwide, with both advocates

OpenStudy (pi123):

and opponents ready to expose the benefits and the drawbacks to such research.

@BobyGum He's a pro in Bio :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You just need to write about how you feel about this research

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you opposed to what they are doing or not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you feel about researchers manually controlling stem growth in a human body

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wouldn't be opposed to it because you can potentially stop diseases this way

OpenStudy (pi123):

Well to be honest, I am still trying to understand the whole concept of this. I dont fully understand it, but I do not exactly understand why it is so controversal. I just to write an essay about its background, and also of my own opinion. I think just once i understand this topic a bit more I will be able to write it all out. Thank you so much for replying btw!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's controversial because researchers are experimenting on Humans

OpenStudy (pi123):

Oh, okay. That makes sense. Is it harmful to them though? When they do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That I don't know, shouldn't be "harmful" but it may have harmful effects on the cells?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

shouldn't be a "harmful procedure" *

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They're doing this entirely for a good cause ofcourse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But many people religiously do not agree with this

OpenStudy (pi123):

I understand :) Thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep! :D
