Jason inherited a piece of land from his great-uncle. Owners in the area claim that there is a 45% chance that the land has oil. Jason decides to test the land for oil. He buys a kit that claims to have an 80% accuracy rate of indicating oil in the soil. What is the probability that the land has oil and the test predicts that there is no oil? 0 0.09 0.11 0.44
I think its 0.11, but I may be wrong. I hope that this helps a little!!! (Just a Guess)
Can you please explain how you got to that guess? This is the last question on the test and I can't get it wrong (already got one wrong, and it's a 5 question test. Have to get 4 right).
Have you considered a tree?|dw:1447385436356:dw|
One for free. Let's see YOUR work on the next one.
Thanks for explaining it mate. I tried to do a tree myself tbh but I got the numbers confused and such. But I got it right :)
